Sun/SunOS (BSD derived) gives:
-r--r--r-- 1 root staff 2632 Jul 23 1992 /usr/include/sys/syslog.h
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root staff 12 Jul 29 1992 /usr/include/syslog.h -> sys/syslog.h
Sun/Solaris2 (SYSVR5 derived) gives:
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin bin 2949 Jul 16 1994 /usr/include/sys/syslog.h
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin bin 901 Jul 16 1994 /usr/include/syslog.h
On Solaris, include/syslog.h includes sys/syslog.h _and_ defines
prototypes for openlog(), syslog(). The BSD headers don't do that.
ixemul is BSD-derived, so I suggest adding a link from syslog.h to sys/syslog.h
